I have been getting this box appearing and disappearing on my mac. All i can make out is the yellow caution triangle in the box before its disappears and i have no chance of reading it. Any ideas what it could be or what i could do to stop/fix it? Any help would be great thanks

G'day and welcome to the forums.
Always helps enormously if you provide computer and operating system details. For starters any security or AV software installed? If so turn it off and consider uninstalling using the uninstaller as there are no Mac OS X viruses.
Next go into System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall and ensure this is turned off. You are operating from behind a firewall in your modem/router and this is sufficient unless you are using public Wi-Fi hotspots. The off position if Apple's default setting.
If still no joy have a read of this from Apple Discussions and if it continues go immediately into the Console log and post back.
