iphoto corrupted?

Hi -

when I select a photo icon in events or in photos, a completely different photo appears - still one of mine from the same holiday (but not necessarily from the same event/date. I have checked for updates but has made no difference - any ideas? I need to fix it asap. Thanks, gillyb

Try this:

To repair the iPhoto library:

Quit iPhoto if it is open.
Hold down the Command and Option keys on the keyboard.
Open iPhoto.
Keep the keys held down until you are prompted to rebuild the library.
A dialog will appear with repair/ rebuild options. Select the options you want to use.
Click Rebuild to begin the rebuild process. This may take a few minutes to complete.
I would start with the top option "Repair the iPhoto Library Database" and see if that helps.
