Finder hogging the CPU

M1 MacBook Air 16GB 1TB SSD
Lately the Finder has been grabbing 100% of processor.

I don't expect a solution for you, I was just wondering if i'm alone. Anyone one else have this issue.

I kill and restart the Finder and all is well

Do you have a bunch of files you keep on the desktop?

Try deleting the Finder plist file - com.apple.finder.plist

Found in your home folder / Library / Preferences

Do you have a bunch of files you keep on the desktop?

Try deleting the Finder plist file - com.apple.finder.plist

Found in your home folder / Library / Preferences

Thanks, Desktop is clean. I deleted com.apple.finder.plist
I'll let you know how things work out!
