I'll throw this out there since this rumour seems to rampant - why do we need an iOS powered watch? Most people I know don't wear a watch because they generally use their mobile phones to do this and I fail to see how this will somehow change people's minds. And in a market where batteries last months (or even years), how is 4-5 days going to fly?

I was hoping they would charge it by laying your watch in a tray that would charge it automatically like I do my electric tooth brush. Thats quite easy, Most people i know wear a watch but not to bed. Tho, it would be handy for a heart attack and a 911 call, provided it had Siri on it. I'm not looking for it to replace my phone at least not for a year or two. I would like it to have the weather, let me know if I have emails, Siri, Take important or personal messages. Add items as the years go along with apps, to do list etc. I am getting tired waiting, there is at least 3 or 4 on the market now.

But that's exactly what your phone does now and it does so on a larger screen with considerably better battery life.

Meh... I have a wrist watch. It's a Tag Heuer I've had for 2 decades and it works great. Battery last about 5 years. I use it to... drum roll... tell time. An iWatch? Really? Jump that shark Fonzie!

Since I have had a phone in my pocket I haven't worn a watch, say about 16yrs. There is nothing in a watch apart from the time that I want and now I have it on my MBP, iP5 and iPad mini. Heck I change channel on my smart TV and every time I hit a button the time is there for me to see.
