• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hey all i am going to be throwing a huge Superbowl party b/c i am close friends with some of the Seattle Seahawks players and we are throwing a huge party for all the families that arn't going to be able to go to the game. Anyways we are also looking to have either a live feed on to the web or a webcam program that will upload images every few seconds. We already have the website and everything i just need a program that would be good for this, oh ya and it needs to be mac compatible... Thanks all for the help

Why don't you use iChat with an iSight? This would give you real time imaging.

For a live feed you'd need some serious upstream bandwidth if more than a few people connected. Apple has the free Quicktime Broadcaster (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/broadcaster/).

Likely your better off with uploading images. To get around the 'Windows Only' crap, I bought an ethernet camera. Specifically the Panasonic BL-C10A. The great thing about this type of camera is the interface is via web pages. So even though the box said 'Windows Only', I am able to configure it via any web browser, including Safari. This particular camera also has the ability to upload images to a site via FTP. Oh, it also does JPEG streaming, but I wouldn't hope for many people being able to connect.
