I have a Macbook Pro Unibody 13" - model is MB990B/A - and the battery condition says "check battery" so I want to buy a replacement battery. But I'm not sure what battery I need.

I have found these potential ones:

apple MacBook Pro 13 inch MB990*/A battery - 6 cells 3600mAh 4200mAh MacBook Pro 13 inch MB990*/A battery

and another few here (top 3 results) - http://www.laptopbattery4u.co.uk/in...search_result&sid=1&keyword=MB990LL/A&x=0&y=0

I'm confused as to which one I actually need to buy? Is the Li-ion one or li-polymer one? And they've all got different Voltages and some list Wh and some list mAh????

So confusing. I just want to buy a replacement battery!

I am from the UK.

If you know your macbook's model number I could tell you which one you need to get. If you don't then head to Mactracker - Get Info on any Mac download the program and when you open it click on "My Mac" it will tell you your model number in there. Re-post it here and i'll do my best to track down the best one for you.

Hope this helps

Try going to Powerbookmedic.com. See if they sell a replacement battery for your computer...and if they do...then you will know which one you need.

Since you are in the UK...Powerbookmedic may or may not be worth it to order from...if not...at least you know what to look for locally.:)

Hi, thanks for your replies. Is the model number not MB990B/A?

No worries, I perhaps should've made it more prominent.

Anyway, moving forward, any advice then on which battery I need to buy would be gratefully appreciated.

Without having a preferred electronics dealer you're use to dealing with and bein' in the UK, I'd probably order from Amazon - link.

Thanks bobtomay.

pigoo3 - yes you did, sorry, I went to the website and typed in the model number and nothing came up so I just forgot it, but I do know now that I should've used the filter. Thanks anyway for helping a noob.
