I have an EMac, PPC 1.42, very happy with it which is good because i cant afford a new mac. But my generic mouse died on me today, tried it in all 3 of the USBs and no luck. Goes on for less than a second. So I was looking at generic A6 tablets, and wondering if they'd work ok with my machine? If they use the same drivers as mice I don't see why they wouldn't.

No, that tablet will definitely not use a generic mouse driver. You will most likely need special drivers to make that work. Depending on the age of the tablet, it might not have drivers for whatever version of OS X you have on the emac.

Have you tried someone else's mouse to make sure the problem is the mouse and not the emacs USB port? If so, a generic mouse is your best bet..
