Saving SMS conversations

Is there a way to save complete SMS conversations in an easily readable format without saving only one text message at a time?

iExplorer can do it, but while very good is a bit pricey.

It send them out as PDFs, CSV, text and let you export all the images.

There's also and app called SMSExport on the app store you could look at but I haven't used that.

Try Backuptrans. Works fine for my iphone 5.

+1 for this Buy Backuptrans iPhone SMS Backup & Restore for Mac license key and pulls them from all backups you have on your Mac or Ext HD backup. Saved me when it came to getting txt msgs i deleted and needed them in court.

I personally prefer the versatility of iExplorer, but it's good to have some alternatives out there that people have actually tried and used.

Researched all of your suggestions, and ultimately bought backuptrans . . .
Worked great. It's not the prettiest text to look at, but it was easy and quick to save what I wanted/needed to save. Thanks for all of your help!
