ESP Files

Hey everyone, not sure if this is the correct place for this but here we go.

I have ported Skyrim through Winery but now have a problem that I can't find anywhere else.

When I download a mod from the nexus (no help there, tried) I look at the .esp file and it shows it like a document, while others will show the exec logo.

any ideas on why. This also pertains to any modded game I have.

Do these need to be an executable file? Open a Terminal, go to the dir where the files are and do an 'ls -la'. What shows?

See the x's? Try this: In Terminal, Type 'chmod +x filename' (without the quotes)
This is assuming you're still in the dir where the files are.

Or, I could be totally wrong and it's something else
