For quite some time, when I insert a SD card into iMac, the iPhoto app opens and asks to import photos. Today, my granddaughter was playing with an older digital and so I decided to import, but instead of iPhoto starting, Image Capture opened. Not thinking what the app was, I chose to import the images. When I realized iPhoto had not started, I did so manually and imported to that application. So my question is: why would Image Capture now start being the default app when I insert a SD card? How do I get iPhoto to be the default again? I am also wondering where that first batch of pictures are located when I imported via Image Capture. Thanks.

Open up Image Capture and on the left side you can decide what application should start for import images. Change it to iPhoto there. Also, while within Image Capture you should see the current folder it wants to import images to, which is likely the same folder it imported to last time..
