I am getting a new macbook, and want to sell my old one. How do I completely wipe/erase everything on the old one? I get very paranoid about personal information still somewhere on the drive even if I delete everything (like credit card info, passwords...).
Below is my comp specs:

Hardware Overview:

Model Name: MacBook
Model Identifier: MacBook5,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MB51.007D.B03
SMC Version (system): 1.32f8

Any help much appreciated. Thanks!

Your Mac's Specs
2017 15" MBP, 16gig ram, 1TB SSD, OS 10.15
Since this is an older MacBook:

- boot from an OS install DVD
- launch Disk Utility
- use the "Secure Erase" option
