I wont be doing this anytime soon if, i do it at all , but it would be handy to know. I have the late 2006 macbook (I don't need a new one, it does every thing i need).
1. I'm using 80Gb HDD. If i was to upgrade, will any laptop 2.5 inch sata work or is it more specific.
2.I know how to install it hardware wise, but how hard is it software wise to install OSX snow leopard.
3.Is it hard to transfer data between them.

hope y'all can help

Practically any 2.5" SATA hard drive will work. Only when you get into really large capacity drives (upwards of 1 terabyte drives)...do you possibly get into a thickness fitting issue.

2.I know how to install it hardware wise, but how hard is it software wise to install OSX snow leopard.

Boot from the Snow Leopard install disk...and follow the onscreen instructions.

3.Is it hard to transfer data between them.

Use Migration Assistant.
