Problem with Apple Mail konfiguration of outgoing server

it was working when the server entry read something like

mail.example.com ; [email protected]

which i accidently deleted.it does not work with just mail.example.com

could someone please give me the exact entry?

Your best bet is to go to your email provider website and get the exact details required. There's no way anyone can tell you exactly what goes in there without knowing your provider.
