I have a Mac G4 dual 500 tower that finally died after 12 years, so I have no complaints. I believe the model number is M7893LL/A. I need to pull the 40 gb internal hard drive and copy files to my new iMac via an enclosure. What size is this drive- 2.5 or 3.5? Any recos on enclosures?

It's a 3.5" PATA/IDE hard drive. As far as an external enclosure...there's really nothing to recommend. There are 100's and 1000's of them out there...in many different shapes, styles, and colors. Just get the proper case (3.5", PATA/IDE)...probably with a USB connection to communicate with your new iMac.
