Both Microsoft and Apple executives have been called to appear before an Australian Parliamentary Hearing to justify the Australian pricing structure. With the Australian Dollar being higher than the US for quite some time, there has been no relationship between US and Australian prices. Down Under we generally pay some 10-30% more than the US Price, with the AUD$ running some 5-10% higher than the US dollar.

Adobe Creative Cloud is AU$1,400.00 dearer than US prices. Here is what the Adobe CEO did not have to say about this on Wednesday:-

Hey Harry. Maybe there should be some sort of "Ram Hearing" as well!;) Since I know that you've mentioned in the past that ram in Australia is VERY expensive as well...despite being very close to the ram manufacturers in Asia (lower transportation/shipping costs).

Unless Australia has some sort high import taxes on electronics...or something similar to the VAT in the UK.

Not just you Aussies. Our dollar is at relative parity and we have free trade yet we pay more than our American neighbours.
