Boot logo messed up

When I boot up my powerbook G4 there's something wrong with the Apple logo that displays above the little circle loading thingy on the first boot screen (the grey one). At first the image displays fine for a second, then it looks garbled up and corrupted. I have absolutely no idea how to fix this or what could be causing it, any suggestions? TIA

Yes, it boots fine.

**edit**

I'm pretty sure I've fixed it. I did cmd+opt+p+r and it booted fine, hopefully it'll stay that way.
