Fallout 3 is/was my favorite game. Since I am now using a 6 core Mac Pro now under Bootcamp (Win 7 Pro) I have been unable to get it running. I have performed the multi-core "correction" but the game still fails to run in either the store bought GOTY edition or from Steam (I bought both).
Stats:
Mac Pro 6 Core 6 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5870 1 GB VRAM
27" Cinema Display
Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit running under Bootcamp
I have previously run the game under Bootcamp on my old MacBook Pro using XP SP/2 with good results. The game can run under Win 7 although it was never updated for it. There is a file called D3D9 that corrects a GPU detection fault and I am currently working on this. Any thoughts (other than waiting for "Fallout 4")?
