Mail keeps logging out

This is a new problem. Mail daily asks for my password. Before, it would only occasionally ask for the password. I have Mail to open with login, and keep it running in the Dock. I use live.com, which of course is set to link with Mail. I'm also using Chrome which could be the root of the problem.

If you open up keychain access which is in your utilities folder and open up the line that has your email account listed, you can search for it, just type live into the seach box and you should see it straight away. If you doubleclick it and then change the password in there to your current one, see if mail asks for it then. Quit mail first though.

There are several entries for live.com. They are all set for the live.com password, but the "application password" for live.com is a long string of random numbers and letters. I don't dare change that. Should I?
I did check the box to "allow all apps. access"...but is Mail an app?

You may as well change it, my application password for my accounts shows my actual passwords not the random string of numbers. Yes mail is an app so this may be what is causing the problem

Correction, I found one that has the random strings of numbers!

Worst case scenario you could remove and recreate the account? Unless you've already tried this?

Oh boy...I guess I could delink
Mail and then relink it.

Well, it looks like it has fixed itself which is a bit unsettling as I haven't done anything. *sigh*

I had a car when 178kms from home started making this awefuly ugly noise. I couldnt do anything until i got home, so i kept driving. By the time i was home the noise had stopped completly.
I was stoked that it had fixed itself so i didnt have to worry about it. Never unsettled because something fixed itself, but totally happy
