Every now and then, it seems, my iMac keeps asking for the password or for confirmation of the password for my one 'LIVE' email account. I would just ignore it, but that bouncing mail icon drives me crazy. A window pops up that asks for the password. It is there and all I have to do is hit return. I've gone to all the preferences I can to be sure the password is there, but it keeps happening. ANy suggestion, besides dropping the LIVE account?

Only guessing here - Perhaps ask Microsoft to increase the number of mail servers they have so that they don't experience any lag times while trying to log into them.

Or, MS could start banning the IP addresses of all the spammers that use their email service and they'd probably have more than enough servers.

Sorry, not much help, just couldn't resist.

Buc021--thanks for the link. I changed password directly from the LIVE page (which was no easy thing to do in that a simple direct link to password is not evident) so I'll wait and see what happens
