2017 15" MBP, 16gig ram, 1TB SSD, OS 10.15
Your 2008 MacBook Pro needs an SATA hard drive. Any of these from OWC will work:

2.5" Serial-ATA (SATA) Notebook Drives

I'm assuming you want a "traditional" hard drive...not an SSD...so ignore the SSD's listed.

The one in your link Frank is an external case and drive so don't buy that one.
