Weather widget

It says its powered by Weather Channel . com and Yahoo! yet its not giving me the same temperatures as weather.com


any ideas? Kind of a big deal. I left the house in the snow storm thinking it was above freezing and it was actually well below

Why not just get your own wireless indoor / outdoor thermometer. Stick the transmitter outside and that way you don't have to depend on a widget. Temperatures reported by these can vary significantly from your specific location. It depends exactly where each widget obtains its input and what the sample rate is. One could sample once every half hour. At my location yesterday, we had a 43 degree F temperature drop over a 6 hour period. Widgets updating once every 15 minutes were inaccurate.
