Share drives between a Windows PC and a Mac

Your Mac's Specs
2012 Mac Mini with 16GB RAM
I want to migrate a lot of content over from my Windows 7 PC to my new Mac Mini. This includes Word documents and a large iTunes library (around 130GB).

Is there a way to connect both computers together so that I can copy directories between the two machines?

You can use the Windows Migration Assistant. Free download from Apple, but be sure you understand how it works before using it. LINK
