Wireless keyboard won't connect

I just got an Apple wireless keyboard and it will not pair with my early 2008 Mac Pro.
It works fine with my MacBook Pro.
Any solutions?

Well share it in case anyone else gets the same problem. Normally one needs a wired keyboard to set up.
