I am having an issue where the 'automatically connect when needed' option, under PPP tab in Network Preferences panel doesn't get authentication on the network. Although I get connected just fine when I manually click on 'connect' in the panel or the desktop's menu bar.
I have checked or unchecked whatever the Network Prefs offers, but to no effect.
On automatic mode, the modem tries to connect, shows the authenticated message for a split second and disconnect immediately. This happens each time, no matter what application is trying to connect to the network.
This is weird... what makes the difference between the mac sending a request through it's automatic mode, or me pressing the connect button?
I find it strange that it does connect, shows an authentication, and looses it. What can cause that behavior?
