Hey guys.

I'll be taking a programming course soon and I need a compiler for my Mac. The only compiler I know of is XCode, but my mac does not fulfil the minimum requirement to download it. (My mac is running on 10.6.8, and XCode requires 10.7).

Do you guys have any recommendations for me on compilers for Macs, besides XCode?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

That really depends on the programming language you'll be using........

I'll be working with both C and C++, so preferably one that is works with both. If not, then two separate ones are okay too.

Thanks.

Do you still have your install disks? There is a version of Xcode on it that is compatible with 10.6.x.

XCode is the best as far as I know....I've used it on and off to compile some software.
