how can i check how much of my macs memory is full? how can i load photos onto a disc? and where can i get the best price for a new mac?

Best price for a new Mac is from Apple's refurbished online sales. Just do a Google.

You mean how much hard drive space is available? In Disk utility select the drive/partition and it will show the size and amount available. Find Roxio's T oast the best for burning photos to a DVD however you might like to try Burn which is freeware and recommended here.

You don't even need a special program to burn photos to a disc. You can do this through Finder or iPhoto. Depending where you keep your photos on your Mac. In Finder, select the files you want and right-click. Select "burn items to disc". In iPhoto, select the photos and go to the "Share" menu at the top. Select "Burn".
