Superdrive replacement for MacBook

All,

I'm shopping for a good optical drive to play/record DVDs instead of getting the Mac Superdrive, which does not have good reviews.

Will be using this for my Retina MacBook Pro, which didn't come with a DVD drive.

Looking for excellent quality, reasonably small for portability.

Can someone recommend one?

Thanks for the link, have you (or others) had good experience with a particular drive? Looking for references to get a good product.
