I have just replaced my old Airport Express (b/g variant) with an Airport Extreme (b/g/n variant) and I have various problems.

We had a series of issues with the old Express router that caused us to change....mainly related to Wifi drops (router needed a reset every 24 hours) but also because I was trying to hook up a Thinkflood Redeye to the home AV set up and there was no way to reliably connect them.

The setup looks like this:

DSL-------Cisco ISR-------Airport------HOME LAN

All of the home network connects either wired or wirelessly via the Aiport

We are running double NAT but that caused no issue to the Express so I cannot see why it would hurt the Extreme ?

I cannot get the Extreme to answer to PINGS.
The Express responds.
The Cisco ISR answers PINGS in both cases

I have forced the Wireless off the Airport to N mode only / I have tried forcing the channel to 13

Connections are unreliable and I see occasional web site misses and hangs

We also have a BROTHER MFC-7820N printer which supports BONJOUR that I can no longer add as a device beyond the new Airport

Ideas ?
