Ran migration assistant on my new Air, after the Air was setup.

I used the timemachine backup from my MBP including the user info.

I kept the user from the backup and deleted the original user from the air.

Then I changed the old backup username to a new one.

My problem is my home folder and computer name are now the same as my MBP. Can I change these to reflect the new Air?

If you follow this procedure, then yes.

https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3872 -- for changing the home folder/account name SAFELY. Follow the instructions CAREFULLY, as your entire account is at risk if you screw it up.

Changing the network computer name is very simple: just go to sharing and change it there. It can be anything you want as long as the name is not in use by some other computer on the network.

Thanks, worked perfectly
