I upgraded my Ram in my new 27 inch Imac with from 8gb to 16gb. I have an older 2008 Imac 24. Can I put the Ram coming out of the new Imac into the 2008. Currently, the 2008 one has 4gb.

Thanks

It might physically fit but I wouldn't recommend doing it. I just upgraded my new 27 inch iMac and it was only about $60 for an 8Gb upgrade.

Different memory and different form factor. It won't work or fit.

I would hang on to it. Put it in the box that the new ones came in. I have had ram fail before and it sure was handy not only to prove the ram was bad but to enable me to function while the company was replacing the defective ram.
