Okay, so I was going to the app store to download a game, and when I tried to install it, it said I couldn't because 10.8.2 was required. I then checked my software update and said updates were available. I proceeded to download them and, as usual, it prompted me to restart my computer. I did so, but right before it shut down, a window appeared saying "Some of the updates could not be installed, error occured." I have tried this more than once, but the same thing just happens again. Please help! :\

Which version of OS X do you currently have? You can find this by going to the Apple menu and clicking 'About this Mac'.

Mountain Lion OS X.8 is an upgrade, not an update. We purchase upgrades. Go into the App Store, pay your $19.99 and download Mountain Lion, then update to OS X.8.2.
