i cannot open app store

any idea

yes i tried to re-start
but no change .

this machine is new ! less than 3 month

Under 10.8.2, the Mac App Store IS software update.

It sounds to me like you have moved or removed the Mac App Store application out of the Applications folder.

What happens if you locate it there and try to launch it from there?

yes but normally i connect and there is a message saying " your systems is up to date "
or since the machine is new october 2012
there is no up date at all .
and did not find the Mac App store application in the applications folder .

any idea !

If you looked for "Mac App store" - try looking for "App Store" in your Applications folder.

no i do not find any App store applications
