I recently purchased my third mac mini, this one a used model from 2010 (the last with the optical drive).
When I first fired it up it took me to a setup screen, but the mac keyboard and mouse don't seem to function. The keyboard is connected to a usb port on the mini. The mouse is plugged into the keyboard. Instead it takes me to a voice over training series where multiple keystrokes are required. Unfortunately I only have one functioning hand (lost the other to a stroke 12 years ago).
Is there any way to use the keyboard/mouse in a normal manner to accomplish this setup? The keyboard does seem to respond, but won't select anything.
I assume the original owner did a fresh OS/App install using the discs which came with the mini. He did not include those discs with the mini.
Any help greatly appreciated.
