Hello,

I'm running OS X 10.8.2 on a MBPro. I have been using a projector successfully for months, but suddenly I am unable to do so. When I plug in the connector to the VGA cable, my screen goes black, and that projects to the screen. Other Mac laptops (not running 10.8.2) work fine. Oddly, I do get the cursor, but (again), nothing else.

I strongly suspect that it's something buggy with the latest OSX update, but I don't know this, and I've not known of a common problem here.

Does anybody know about this issue? Have I described it adequately? Any patches?

Thanks for any advice.
Scott

It would help if you gave us some info as to which MBP you have. Year and model? The first thing to do is try another adapter and cable. Also, when you open System Preferences, Displays with the Projector attached, what does it say?

BTW, Mountain Lion 10.8.2 works fine with projectors just as it does with many various types of displays.
