My hard drive crashed and I need to get it replaced. I took it to Simply Computing and was quoted a price that seemed a bit higher (or at least higher than I'd like to pay) I bought the computer from West World, but their local store closed shortly before my comp went down. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Don't know any places there since I'm in Texas - and don't know how CA dollars reflect to U.S., but I doubt anyone is going to want to tear apart an iMac for less than $100-$150; plus the price of the drive.

Tearing apart an iMac is NOT an easy task as the entire display panel must first be removed before you can gain access to the inside. If your iMac is no longer under any kind of warranty, you should be able to have it serviced at any authorized Apple service center there in Vancouver. As far as the cost, you'll have to decide on that.
