RAM upgrades

Hi i have a macbook pro 15.4 in running 10.8 with intel core 2 duo 2.4ghz 4GB RAM PC3-8500 1066. My question is what is the best RAM possible for this laptop? I know the current latency for this something like 7-7-7-21 can i install PC3-12800 same number of pins with higher latency? would my mac even recognize the high latency? Or what are my options? thanks

The speed of RAM is limited by the chipset and motherboard. Faster RAM than that spec will be wasted/underutilized. Find out what your Mac model can use in the list here:

yeah i v looked it PC3-8500 DDR3 1066 cas latency 7. But i was just wondering if my system could read a higher one like cas9 but yeah your right i guess depends on the limitiations of my Macbook pro. thanks man. i though maybe there was some (Mac Secret out there) XD
