How often should you turn your MBP off?

It it good to have the MBP auto shutdown at night, every night? Or is it ok just to keep it on all the time?

Lots of pros and cons and opinions about whether to shut down your Mac when not in use. Your MacBook Pro is designed so that it can be put to sleep when not in use. There are exceptions to this in my opinion. I would shut it down completely if it's to be carried along in a travel bag, back pack, etc. I would also remove it from the AC mains if thunderstorms are in the local area. It would be OK to operate it on battery during those times. Also, if you plan to be away from your MBP for any long length of time, it's best to shut it down.
