Keychain - How do I get it to work

I would like to set Keychain up to automatically log me into the various websites that we need user id's and passwords for.

I currently get no Keychain prompts when I do anything. I have messed around in the preferences and can't seem to figure it out...

A few things to try:

a) Only Safari will support the keychain, other browsers use their own systems. Use Safari.
b) Make sure private browsing isn't enabled ('Safari' menu -> Private browsing)
c) If you've already told it not to save your password on a certain site, you'll need to reset Safari, then try entering a password somewhere again and see if it prompts you.
