Problems instaling Lion from starting up Mac

Hi

Ive been trying to install Lion again from but its not installing or getting recognized by the mac when im trying to install it after rebootting the system, recovery of the system doesnt work either, is there anyway to shut down internet connection in everyway possible by using any keys on reebooting?

You arn't connected to the internet when you boot your computer, that isn't the problem. If the boot disc is in the computer you would just press CMD C to boot from it, and then reinstall OSX. You can also make a USB drive and boot it from that.

What does it tell you when you go into the options menu after holding down the CMD R. There should be a option to reinstall OSX

Well what Mac, is it Lion compatible, and has Lion been running on it previously?
