iPhoto/Kodak EasyShare

I recently unnstalled Kodak Easyshare on my iMac, because I was never going to use it. This was a big mistake, because now when I try to view any of my photos all I get is a triangle telling my that my photos aren't there! I would be okay if this was only a few photos, but I have over 1,000 and none of them are backed up! (They're on my iPod) If I get this fixed I'm definitly backing them up. Please help, Do you think I should just take my iMac into an Apple Store? I really don't want to, I don't want anything to happen to it...
