OK -
I understand that I press Shift Command & 3 or 4 (& sometimes Ctrl?)
and hilight it to take the screenshot.

But AFTER THAT.....

I have to copy these screenshots into a window (email) for my professor in D2L. OR make it an attachment. HOW do I do this?

Be specific - assume I know nothing when explaining what to do.

THANKS!!!

What program are you using for email? Pretty much all modern email programs allow drag and drop and the screenshots by default end up on your desktop.

If you are using a web based email program - then you probably have to find an attachment button somewhere.

D2L is what I have to put it in - IF that tells you anything.

Id have to say it is webbased - i THINK.

Im guessing I have to make the thing an attachment for it. Idea how to do that?

thanks.

What do you use for email? Google mail? Yahoo? Can you tell us who it is?

Usually there is some kind of paper clip icon - which denotes attachments.

It seems that d2l is a generic term that most colleges use for their remote access and email - so I couldn't find anything specific.

Here is a picture of Yahoo's email toolbar - you can see on the far left - a paperclip - if I click on that I get a browser to search for files to attach. I would suspect your email has something similar.

Can you provide us with a screenshot of your email client or D2L (whatever that may be)? We can then point you in the right direction.
