I found the original (unused) disks that came with my MacBook - late 2007. I installed the first installation disk, but when it said to: INSERT THE MAC OS X INSTALL DISC 2 DISC TO CONTINUE INSTALLATION.... the disk went in for a short time, then was ejected.

It appears that the computer is still installing- it says:
INSTALLING MAC OS X ON THE VOLUME-TIME REMAINING- CALCULATING......

This has been going on for a very long time.

Is this normal?

I tried to shut off the computer and restart it, but it just goes back to this same spot.
Should I just let it keep INSTALLING?

I would appreciate any help.
Thanks. :)

Yes, I did put the DIsk 2 in, but it was ejected.

Is this normal for it to take such a long time to install?

It's still "installing" - this is now at least 10 hours today. I tried shutting off the computer, and when I put it back on, it just continued.
