Your Mac's Specs
Macbook Pro 13” i5 (2012) , iPhone5 16GB (white), iPhone4 8GB (white), iPad2 64GB 3G, Apple TV
I wouldnt advice you to buy a 49-key keyboard (all under £100) put spend perhaps £20 more on a semi-weighted keyboard.

Like this one:

M-Audio Keystation 61es Semi-Weighted MIDI Controller Keyboard at Gear4Music.com

If you feel you need 88 keys, you will pay more (M-Audio Oxygen 88 Key Graded Hammer Action MIDI Keyboard at Gear4Music.com)

Then you need to hook up your keyboard to your Mac by using a simple Midi-to-USB cable like this one

E-Mu Xmidi 1x1 Tab USB MIDI Interface at Gear4Music.com

I have the same type of setup (al though a full 88 key electric piano) which is connected with the USB interface cable directly into my Macbook Pro using Logic and/or Garageband.
