Faces and Unnamed Faces in iPhoto 11

2010 Macbook Pro, 8g RAM, iPhone 6, iPad Mini, Apple TV
Took some group family photos over the holidays and want to include all the "Faces". When I open the photo and the Faces tab, they are all shown as "Unnamed Faces". Fine. However, after I start naming the faces, some of the "banners" with the names (e.g., John Smith) cover up the " Unnamed Face" banner, and I can't get to it to name the person. I tried Zooming in, but then the banner with Unnamed Face does not show up. Can someone give me some advice as to how to get to all the banners to name them?
