Report System Information On Desktop

Hi,
I am looking for an app that will report dynamic system information to my desktop. Ideally it will report Machine Name, I.P address, Ram, Mounted Volumes, Space available on the mounted volumes etc.
so in the bottom right corner you would always have this information. There is a util called bginfo on pc

I'm hoping there is something similar available for Mac

You can get Dashboard widgets (systat I think one was called - check apple's widgets page) to display this information for you, and then you can use amnesty (versiontracker.com) to get them to be displayed on your desktop.
