• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I finally managed to pin my sound track and video clips together but now the clips are messed up. They've been slowed down and I can't figure out how to return them to their normal speed. Can someone help? Try to keep the explanation simple please, as I'm not that tech-savvy.

Is it your computer lagging or the actual video speed reduced? What type of mac do you have?

A Mac OS X. I don't think it's the computer. I'm not sure what it is. The music plays but it's like the video is slowed down. Like I can see every frame as it plays. Sorta like slo-mo.

Yes I've experienced the problem it could be the video card or lack of ram. What type of Mac is it?

I have a Mac OS X. I don't think it's my computer, though. My videos usually work fine; it's only in the editing phase that it's become an issue. I'm not sure but I think the problem occurred after removed the original audio and applied a song track. Though I'm not sure why that would cause a problem. I might go back and undo that and see if there's a difference and check to see if it's a problem in the imported file.

I just tested it and the video is fine when viewed on my desktop in Quiktime and when I view it on my iTunes list. So it appears to be a problem with iMovie.

Double click on a clip in a Project to open the Clip Inspector. You can adjust the clip speed there.
