The two antenna cables in my Macbook A1181 have been ripped out of their sockets. Can these cables be recrimped or soldered into their respective sockets? Or do I need to replace both cables entirely?
Thanks for any input...

Are the female connectors (sockets) OK? In other words, have they been damaged in any way? If they're OK, I would go ahead and just replace the cables as the male connectors are very difficult to solder back on.

Take a look at the correct placement of the cables at iFixit: The free repair manual. Have your model number handy.

Thanks for your quick reply and I have looked at the diagrams on ifixit.com, but I am not fluent in the language here.
Please pardon my ignorance as I restate the problem so that we can be sure we're referring to the same things.
The two cables (black and grey - Santa Rosa/Penryn layout) were torn out of the gold brackets (female?). These gold brackets are attached on the actual AIrport card sprockets (male?). Neither the brackets nor the sockets were damaged - they still fit together no problem. It's just the cables that are detached, so my question is whether it's possible to reattach the cables to the gold brackets?
And if I still need to replace both cables, do you have a recommendation where to obtain them?
Thanks again.

Thanks for the link, Dawson1112. Rather than blindly trying to fix the connections, $4 for replacement cables is a cheap and easy solution.
