New convert from PC to MAC

Hi
i have been a pc user for years. About to take delivery of a new MAC, so i am looking for top tips to make the transfer of documents, photos and music from PC to MAC?

Just use Migration Assistant, it's built in and will run itself when you first fire up the Mac. Have a USB cord to connect the two machines handy.

Well, it's not quite that easy... You will need to download the Windows Migration Assistant first from Apple: LINK Be sure to read the "About Windows Migration Assistant" before using it.

to both the responses i received..thanks! also liked the top tip for new users from Chas_M. as i said awaiting the new 27inch to arrive shortly ( i hope). i am sure i will need more help in due course!
