This concerns a current model MacBook Air. When a Gmail account was transferred to Mail, the result was duplicate mailboxes under the headings "Mailboxes" and "Gmail." So there are two Inboxes, two Junk boxes, two Sent boxes, etc. all containing the same mail.
When my MacBook Pro was set up, I had two Comcast email accounts and they both transferred to the Mail/Mailboxes/Inbox, so I can choose to view each account separately or combined, but still have everything within one set of mailboxes.
So my question is, how can I get the Gmail account to import its mail into Mail's mailboxes rather than have two sets of boxes?
