My Macbook Pro won't let me sign in. I've tried restarting it in safe mode but I get the same thing, just a blue screen and the sign in pop up. Please help! I really hope I didn't lose any of my pics or files :[

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Well if they are backed up on to an external hard drive, no problem. If not fingers crossed. What operating system are you using? If Lion or Mountain Lion boot and hold down Command +R to enter Disk Utility and run Repair Disk. If earlier boot from the install disc and do the same.

It's the original pro from 2006, so tiger? I put the disk in and tried command+ R but it didn't do anything.... so I held down "c", went to utilities, I clicked on repair disk and then rebooted but no changes.

The disc won't eject now. There's gotta be some way to fix this... It was working fine before this happened.
